The Club

Fgura Gladiators is a new amateur football club that has been acknowledged entry into the National Amateur SWAN Football League 2009 - 2010. Born from the idea of Mark Azzopardi, a number of regular attendees of weekly 5-a-side football matches where asked to confirm their interest in the setting up of a more organised setup and participation in an official 11-a-side football league.

The response was immediate and a number of suitable candidates where found within a short period of time. A formal request for Registration was sent to the Administrators of the SWAN League Association and acceptance confirmed.

Fgura Gladiators shall start off from the SWAN League Division 2 in 2009 - 2010.

This saying has become the motto for our club since it reflects the basics of success in any sport :

"Play every shot in training like it's your last.
Run every sprint like you stole something.
Take every cross like it's life or death.
Save every shot like its a ticking bomb ready to explode ....
The biggest difference between the successful athlete and those who fall by the wayside is their mental skills. Work on those, and watch your game take off."
